Back when I was in the military I was appointed as the training non commissioned officer (NCO) for the communications platoon for my unit. I did not want the job nor did I think I would do well in the position. I was tasked to ensure that all junior marines knew how to operate communications equipment. I was also tasked to go around teaching the grunts how to use military radios. It was at that moment, I knew my job was extremely important. Teaching infantry marines how to use radio equipment to call for help. Needless to say that's when my mindset shifted; I was teaching them how to use their life line. I had to learn how to get and hold their attention so they would learn. Instructing a class to a platoon of grunts was an interesting affair. However, after teaching them how to use and program radios is when I found my passion for teaching!

Fast forward a few years later, I had the honor and privilege to be a Field Training Officer (FTO) for my police department. I had a direct influence in developing new police officers and taught them how to do the job the right way. I enjoyed making connections with the young officers and watched them grow in their career and beyond. The fulfillment I got from training them and watching them grow is beyond what words can express.

Which is why I created this book and built online courses myself. During my time getting to know others while training them, and having many conversations with the public, I came across so many people that want to create something for themselves. I'm a self driven goal oriented individual that is always seeking ways to improve! At age 16 I volunteered as a junior firefighter. At age 18 I became a full fledged fireman and found a passion for helping others. At the age of 23 I enlisted into the Marine Corps and earned the rank of sergeant. I held the billet of weapons company communications chief and did 2 deployments overseas. The first deployment was to Iraq to support combat operation, and the second deployment was based out of Okinawa Japan. During that deployment conducted security patrols in the pacific region of the world.

I earned a bachelors degree in business administration from Strayer University and landed a career in law enforcement. I have always loved helping others succeed and I'm doing something a little different to challenge myself and help others.
