The military makes an attempt to set you up for success before you get out! Let's call the spade of spade here. We are so focused on getting our DD-214 and want to move on with our lives. The pressure of checking out and the stress of getting everything inline before making the transition; puts a lot of pressure on you. You go through a week-long course that's meant to help you make the transition from the military to back to the civilian world. We often don't really know how to project our leadership experience, critical thinking skills, time management skills, and more onto paper. This course will help bridge that gap.
After working with the active duty component for over 10 years as a civilian, I got fed up with seeing my brothers and sisters struggle to gain meaningful employment. It pissed me off to the point where I felt like I had to do something to help veterans in need. When I got the idea for creating this, the feedback I got was, it would be nice to have a way to make a resume from scratch. To have something that could be referenced after getting out. The results is this! An online resume writing course that is developed by veterans for veterans.

Know Your Target #1 what job do you want when you get out? Once you know that, you have to tailor your resume to that job.

Check List #2 outline all the billets and jobs you had while you were active. List out all the training you did in the military, number of personnel you supervised, equipment you managed, etc.

Set Time Aside #3 block out some time to keep building your resume. Your resume should always be expanding. If you plan on staying in, you should start making a brag sheet.
My guarantee to you is that you will have a kick ass resume after taking this course! However, the resume is only the ticket to the interview. Compared to civilians, you have real world leadership experience, technical job knowledge, and a work ethic that far exceeds most civilians.
I personally guarantee that if you follow the steps outlined in this course. Your resume will project out your military experience in a way that a civilian can understand.

I'm a self driven goal oriented individual that is always seeking ways to improve! At age 23 I enlisted into the US Marine Corps and earned the rank of sergeant. I held the billet of weapons company communications chief and did 2 deployments overseas. The first deployment was to Iraq to support combat operation, and the second deployment was based out of Okinawa Japan to conduct security patrols in the pacific region of the world.
I earned a bachelors degree in business administration from Strayer University and landed a career in law enforcement. I have always loved helping others succeed and I'm building training courses for veterans transitioning out of active military service.
